Sit was founded in 1989 as a Partnership company to introduce, develop and support new technical innovations in the field of Neuro-surgery, Cardiothoracic-surgery, Vascular-surgery, Blood Transfusion and Blood Therapeutic Products. In 1996 the company was incorporated into a private liability company.

Since the introduction of high quality healthcare products from companies like American Hayer Schulte, Edwards Lifesciences, BAXTER Healthcare to Sri Lanka the company has made very big strides in the field of Medical Devices, Equipments and Biopharmaceuticals in Sri Lanka. Today the company is providing more than 300 products to the healthcare sector from about 40 well reputed manufacturers around the globe.
